As a group of experienced flmmakers living and working locally, the Michigan Film
Collective (MFC) represents a relevant, healthy, and lucrative ingredient for flmmaking
in our state.

The goal of the MFC is making films in the state of Michigan. We believe in the
creative and economic potential of our home, and in the ability of our artists, writers, and
performers to create stories that will play a role in the development and entertainment of
our state, the Midwest, and the world.

In compliment to filmmaking, the MFC helps to proliferate a sustainable economic
structure to continue the creation of profitable media-making. We acknowledge and
adapt existing blueprints for producing the highest of quality in film, but recognize that
the state of Michigan and particularly the Metro-Detroit area is refining its own unique
economy for producing media.

Collectively we believe there is a healthier method of filmmaking than current
traditional methods. We strive for independence as artists and for community
engagement. We are committed to producing high quality film for our generation
of media viewers.
